Bent Spoon, where art thou?
Written by Geof Harries on January 24, 2012
I used to love popping down to Bent Spoon - it's less than a half block from our office building - to get an americano or latte, sometimes a sandwich. But, sometime after Christmas, they just disappeared. Now the space is filled with discount sale items from retail stores in the Hougen's Centre.

I was surprised! Top quality bread and ingredients, the price is on the higher side, but you do get what you pay for. The wrapper is also kinda cool. I recommend this to folks looking for a great sandwich and coffee!

Simply awesome sandwiches. I also recommend the #1. Great bread, fresh everything. Awesomeness. I also like the wrapper the sandwich comes in, it's classy. Well worth the price.
Small business, this is primarily a take-out eatery.
Lines can get long at crunch times; I sometimes get impatient and don't like to wait for my awesome sandwich. Darn these sandwiches for being awesome!
Good value

I've been many times. Small place with limited seating, and can have a line-up, but the coffee and food (both prepared and off the shelf) are of very high quality and the service is always entertaining. You get what you pay for...

I love this place! Excellent beverages and even better sandwiches. You certainly pay for the quality and are guaranteed great service at a stellar location with a nice atmosphere. The optional groceries are a huge bonus as well. Unfortunately, the young female was less than pleasant when visiting there recently and. However, I'll still be back.
Simply good

Very good place to stop for good coffee, I like the packs of cookies on the shelves, make a group coffee affordable. Good attitude, not greedy over there.
Worth the price

When you consider that Subway charges around $8 for their subs with ingredients that come in massive tubs from a global, corporate supply chain the $10 price-tag of a fresh sandwich doesn't seem at all unreasonable. Friendly service and knowledgeable information about all the great products in the store make it a fine place to grab some gourmet items for dinner while enjoying a hearty lunch ... and the coffee is excellent!
Sandwich second to none

These guys are awesome, you get an amazing sandwich, which is huge and delicious. The bread and other ingredients are always fresh and colorful. I would have given them 5 stars if it wasn't $10. A sandwich and a coffee for $10 and I'll be there twice a week!
The Sandwich Man!
Yeah, ten bucks for a sandwich but what a sandwich! Fresh ingredients, generously and expertly layered, served on Alpine Bakery bread: I recommend the #1. They also do a great espresso and the Italian groceries are a nice touch. Great vibe in this little place located on Main Street.
